My daughter really enjoys this book, but I have questions. It involves one of those things that once you see it, you can't unsee which sticks with me as an adult reader. Molly is the only character who has an individualized name, and all of the other characters are named after what type of animal they are Turtle, Rabbit, Pig, etc. How did this happen? What are the names of, say, Pig's parents or siblings, then? Are the other animals jealous of Molly's unique name, or do they just think she's a type of animal called a "molly"? To be honest, I just don't know where to go with this. But it is a nice story, outside of that.
Love this authors stories and the illustrators pictures. Have collected so many because or 2.5 year old girl adores them. They are a good read from the parents perspective and enjoyable to discuss and look at over and over.
